The role of the CHA

The CHA's objectives are to ensure:

  • that hunting with dogs remains the natural and most humane method of controlling the four quarry species.

  • that the public perception of hunting is favourable.

  • that the interests of hunts and their followers are safeguarded in the face of political attack.
  • The CHA stands as a central point of contact for the Independent Supervisory Authority for Hunting (ISAH) and works in close conjunction with the Countryside Alliance.
